Sister Carolyn James was born October 9, 1947 to the Late Earnest Sessler and the Late Andrea Stokes in Wildwood, Florida.  She received her formal education in Wildwood.  As an adult she relocated to Bronx, New York where she met and made many friends.  She worked at Barnabas Hospital in Bronx, New York.  Carolyn was a Certified Nursing Assistant.  She loved her career as a CNA and worked faithfully in caring for others and had a natural gift of nurturing others.  Carolyn enjoyed life in New York and it was there where she met a very loving and loyal friend, Birdie Sanders.  She and Birdie shared many cherished times together.   As Eastern Stars, Carolyn and Birdie enjoyed working together in Bronx, New York. Carolyn enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest.  In 1984, Carolyn  relocated back to Florida to begin her new life with her children.  She worked at Lykes Pasco and Royal Oaks Nursing Home for many years.  She was a faithful member of Church of God in Christ, Dade City under the leadership of Superintendent Mitchell Davis, Jr.  where she served on the Usher Board until her health began to fail.  After a short courtship, Carolyn met and married the love of her life, Alexander James on July 5, 1996.  Carolyn loved spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren.  On Monday, March 13, 2017 Carolyn’s loving eyes were closed and she went to be with her Lord and Savior.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.   She was preceded in death by her parents; and her children, Angela Harris and Samuel Harris.  Carolyn is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Alexander James; her children, Patricia Harris, Agnes Yvonne Harris, James Harris, Dwayne Harris and Carolyn Harris; step-children, Onda James, Nino James, William H. Price, Johnathan James and Africa M. James; grandchildren, Jekeshia Harris, Anthony Harris, Tricia Harris, Rashawn Harris, Loren Harris (Tangela); and a host of great grandchildren; sisters, Eunice and Lena and a host of other sisters; brothers,  Tommy Hardley, Curtis Stokes and Boogie Stokes; three love childs, TeeTee, Deseree and Tree; a best friend for over 50 years, Birdie Sanders of Bronx, New York; sisters-in-law, Geraldine Williams, Madeline Stokes, Alice Scott, Shirley A. Davis and Gwendolyn Roach; a special  grandson,  Napolian “Quarter” Smith, Little   Wayne-Wayne, Zariah and Ya’ri; a son-in-law, Johnny Peyton; and a  special aunt, Charlene Heath; god daughter, Tasha Sanders; and a host of other sorrowing  relatives  and friends
